Travels in the Classical
World at Mercersburg
We believe that travel is an important way for students to learn about
the ancient world and to make connections in the modern world. As St. Augustine
said, "The world is a book. He who stays home reads only one page."
We plan trips to Italy every other spring break (odd years) for Latin
students to visit the sites they already have learned about. Mr. Muller and
Mr. Thorne are considering adding a trip in even years to other classical
sites: Britain, Greece, Southern France, Spain. Let us know what you
think!
